We need a standardized spot counting methodology!I dobut they will not molt this year since they are quite young still, hatch day for them was right around Cinco de Mayo. So, I still have a whole year to wait till they do a full on molt to see if they change their spots pattern.
I can say they did appear to have a lot more spots when they initially grew their feathers in particularly as tweens. They look as if they have “lost” spots as they have gotten older. I think some just get covered up by other feathers though. I have also seen this question in the jubilee Orp thread and it seemed like the general consensus was that the overall pattern does change but the amount of spots stays roughly the same.
Though some swore theirs lost or gained spots. It was a hot debate for sure!!
I suspect the truth is in the middle and it just depends on the individual bird as to what happens.
We will all have to watch, wait, and see how BY Bobs LF and Sally PB’s Jubilee look once they complete their transformations!
