I have one Jubilee Orpington, named Widget, hatched mid-June 2021. She hasn't ever done a "full on" molt like my Australorps. It's more of a constant shedding/growing. (She's my only speckled "suspect" bird.)

The first time (last winter), I thought her brown coloring got darker, but I wasn't sure. It could have been the old feathers were faded. I'll be sure to let you all know if she has more spots after she's done this time.

She's also been the only one to go broody. Which she did 3 times last summer, but not when it would have been handy and she could have raised chicks! She's always "gotten back to work" quickly... except last time. That was August, and she called it done for the season and hasn't laid since. Then to prove her point, she tossed off a few feathers every day, as if to say, "Well, I'm busy doing this, and I can't multitask!"

I need to hear more about chia for this... What does it do?
Heaven knows.

All I do know is that when I take these in my drink serials, soup or sauces I sleep the whole night through. It's said that it helps to reduce the sugar you have ingested plus helps with hormone balance, heart and constipation.

I am know taking flaxseed and linseed with the chia seeds in my yogurt and soups. Princess has all of the above a few times a week and my dog and cat about five times a week usually in the morning feeds with turmeric and ginger powder.

I love this. I used to think this was Momma Hen. Now, I think Dottie is plotting my demise.
Mine will come from the dogs. I have two that will run in front of me drop and roll over belly up so I have to pet them. Now add Estrella to the mix, she likes to come up from behind and walk between my legs which throws me off balance. I think the drop n roll by Migos combined with a surprise attack from behind will be my downfall, 🤣

Princess is a very naughty girl. My dear pusscat doesn't like being outside as much due to the drop in temperature. But his has insisted to be outside with Princess every single time she is outside on the garden as well as out the back. The poor little soul is freezing.

I was being a little piggy this morning and ate a cornbeef pasty. I offered some to my neighbours as they were cold and putting air in the car tires. They refused and enjoyed watching Princess pusscat and my old dog having tiny bits too feel included.

The dog swallowed his down greedily, princess peaked away with her portion and the cats just savoured his taking his time, as he looked up to see if any more was coming his way, the ever grateful princess snatched away the cats tiny bit. I was in tears of laughter and my neighbours just couldn't believe how patient the cat was. He just let her take it.

Look  it's all gone

It wasn't me, it was the dog

They take five hours to charge and should last upto 3 hours. I'm getting them for princess and I've ordered her a red diaper for when it snows

My neighbour has really turned around. He been off the smelly 💩 for around two months and he's gathered sheets and bath mats for princess too keep the coop warm and to add to a box when she comes in plus for the dog , he loves covers, the bath mats for his muddy paws 🐾 😀

Being patient with him has really paid off I'm very proud of him for completely kicking off that habit 👏

I shouldn’t laugh but I know exactly what you mean.
Cat wrapping around my legs at the top of the stairs will likely be my downfall.

Watch your eyes ! And teeth 😁
Yes! But too late, the very first time she got up there I did get a light peck on the edge of my cornea (I squinched my eye barely in time). I had turned my head just in time to see her lean over and bam! Got me, behind my glasses even. What precision pecking! Also a very cute image for that millisecond, of her looking at me upside down. Rinsed my eye, it’s felt fine, but I just noticed a grey spot there. My teeth are fine, but somebody did lightly bruise my lower lip when they were still in the brooder!
