I've heard a lot about Bakersfield a very long time ago. I so wish I had visited it.

I was in Barstow years back when a Japanese tourist came up and asked me “How do I get to Bak-as-feld.”
I said you want to get to Bak-as-feld? Speaking In his same accent.
He got all excited and said “ya, ya, to Bak-as-feld!”
So darn funny, I laughed all day long on my way to Arizona! Today it’s still funny !
