A Special Christmas Gift
I wanted to do something special for a dear friend of mind who has chickens. I was stumped trying to think of what I could do when I saw Mrs BY Bob's polish chicken ornaments I got her last year. For those that don't remember I got her 3 polish to commerate Phyllis Betty and Gucci.

I got these pre-made off Etsy.

So I reached out to them to see if they would do custom chickens for me. They agreed to try and so I sent them photos of my friend's chickens. Here is what they were able to make. They are simply amazing!

My friend is thrilled.

I promised when they agreed to make these for me that I would tell everyone I knew about the special job they did. So if you are looking for that special gift for your friend with chickens or even a way to memorialize your own chickens, here is someone who can do so in an amazing way.

Fluffy Butt Friday

Good morning all! Mild day today and tomorrow, I bet most of the snow will melt away, and the chooks will be able to get outside a bit.

Here are a few of the fluffy butts here this morning

Fluffy told me she wanted to show all her fluffy glory

Happy Friday everyone.
I got a black fluffy butt and a white fluffy butt waiting for Sylvie to report that the wild water bowl is frozen solid.

Sylvie has regrown most of her feathers but is still sleeping in the nest box. I am not sure if I should intervene or not.

Fluffy butts are in short supply again.

Attempted to get Pippa...got good shot of her naked back mostly regrown...she's not finished moulting yet, but getting there

And a 3/4 angle of...Blanche? PITA? still working on learning their new splash marks. One has a black tail feather and I don't remember which one.

I'd give her more time. Mine who sleep in nest boxes when moulting look good but aren't finished yet. They stay there for a few more days than I think they should, then...a switch flips and they're back on the roost and enforcing their position with vigor.

Pooh may be really smart or really dumb. She jumped into the frozen water bowl and tried to jackhammer the ice with her beak.
