Thanks! I just tested positive for Covid. Probably got it on the crowded gig on Saturday, though I masked. Started feeling bad on Wednesday, tested negative Thursday, didn't bother Friday, thought it must be the flu.
Sorry to hear that, tis the season, everyone is getting something or other here lately.

Hope you feel better soon.

The "hormonal idiot" stage is now in full blast. This featherball is now crowing and chasing the older hens!
Edit: Maybe not chasing the older hens, but BEING CHASED by the older hens.
Good, Buffy "tried" to put him in his place.
I love an older hen that teaches boys. :thumbsup

From the ground to your head or was she on the table drinking?
I don't know where she started - I was completely taken by surprise.
She might have been up the hill. It is still a bit much for a girl her size. My guess is she was up hill behind me and saw a fox and launched herself towards home and I just happened to be in the way.

Henny Penny put herself to bed in the bottom nest box in the Hen House, she tucked her babies under her and that was that.

I stressed about leaving her there, and then figured she would tuck herself in there anyways when I am at work so I left her to it. On the up side I am glad she took it up to herself and found a safe spot for her to reside.

You buried the headline there. A FOX!!!

Ruth - is that a dustbath - sunbath combination move? I've never seen that. Really, both feet in the air! Thanks for the nice video. 🥰 😍
Oh I know what a hoot! I was going to get a photo of her with her feet up, but got distracted keeping an eye on mama hen 😁

Hope you’re feeling a bit better.

I am only guessing. There are always foxes around my place and it was getting towards dusk (which is why I was out there). It didn't seem like her normal rushing around so I assume she was spooked.
It was very like Maggie (also a big gal) who once did a vertical lift off to avoid a fox that snuck up on her (and me).
