Went out to close the coop. Cardhu was still out. Herded her in. Gathered eggs. Have a brand new layer. Enigma had been in the nest box, while Havoc was trying to climb in too. Not sure who laid it.

Green egg is Maizie's. The darkest egg is another adult. The other 2 are pullet eggs. The new one is TINY!

Just to see how small!

Took Sherlock for a walk. On the way back, saw this sweeping up the valley

a bald eagle. I'm glad I got Cardhu in when I did. She's small enough to be dinner for one of those. We don’t usually see them here: not enough water.

No. Nimbus is on the other side of the hedge. The center of the tootsie pop is the worst part. I need to work on choosing my words better.

This was a project I worked on, in northern Alberta, in an area were they do logging. The trees were cut, and trimmed, all the waste was piled in huge stooks which were then burnt during the winter, in the spring the seedling trees were planted.

The flames from those fires was ferocious, and rather scary in the dark!
