The hawks here are similarly unafraid of humans. Fortunately they seem to be wary of large cats.We have bald eagles here that nest close by. There was a couple, then last year they had a juvenile, and it is still around although normally I think he should have left for his own territory. They do take chickens, just pick them and fly off, and the ones we have here are not afraid of humans at all. I’ve had the disturbing experience of one swooping for a chicken when I was just three or four meters behind and it was difficult to make it leave. Beautiful birds in the sky, strikingly ugly close up.
Two for Tuesday pictures :
Théo and Piou-piou don't get along every day, but today they were sweethearts.

A very close, though undesired, two in the nest situation for Nieva and Mélisse. (My coop is an old stable in our basement and some of the nests are holes in the walls, like this one.)

Nieva and Lulu. Lulu started laying last week at 29 weeks ! Like @Sally PB's Robin, on the coop's floor. Not an issue for me, as long as it's not under the roost !
