I already got sick. I now have a cough and I have to blow my nose every so often as a keepsake for the next few days.
The chickens think I'm crazy when I blow my nose.

Might not get any chicken pictures today, they are blaming me for the weather! Good thing I cleaned their coop and put lots of fresh bedding in Saturday...

And Ash the other day looking beautiful as always. I bought some fake eggs to put in their coop, then dropped them in the store parking lot and broke one.
But I glued and apoxie-sculpted it so we have a very ugly egg...hopefully the girls will excuse its looks.

Here they were before bedtime yesterday, I'm assuming the poops were from when they inspected them.

I use golf balls, if you have any of those you can use those also

For Thier Own Good

So being the thoughtful chicken hooman that I am, I have locked everyone in the complex today. We had heavy drenching rains yesterday and now the wind is howling. Normally they would be huddled under the apple trees doing nothing trying to stay warm. Since they are locked in the complex, everyone seems to be having a nice time in the big coop. Warm and snug and Out of the wind.

Mine are staying in as well. It is miserable out there. Lots of flooding. Amazingly I haven’t lost power although there are a lot of trees down and roads closed all around me.
My Princesses seem unconcerned.

Gosh I heard about it down there

It’s been nice here - but that’s ended now, snow advisory here. Yup my kiddos were also unconcerned lots of fun stuff in the barn to poop on and fly up on.

Its a mullet!
Personally I think it suits him.
The way he shook his head a couple of times reminded me to ask about the skin issue he had near his ear - is that all cleared up now?

YES! A mullet! That’s what I was also thinking hahaha

His skin is pretty much cleared, just some crud in the fold of his skin at the back of his neck. He ear is all good, but I am going to take a look tonight now he has his new mullet and ‘I can see clearly now to feathers are gone…. ‘
