I would say as long as she can’t get wedged in there and stuck or have the others beat on her then she will need to figure out a way to cope.So...truthfully, I know this is sacrilege, but I totally can't taste the difference between store bought eggs and eggs from my hens.
Maybe because mine don't free-range, but when we buy them, we get the cheap store brand.
I have some frozen too, since my husband brought home eggs from work once this summer. They were at the end of their "good" period... in fact i ended up tossing some. Im looking forward to trying them.
We still have the little "tables" from when the chicks needed to hide (ironically) and they're tall enough for her to go under. But she likes to squeeze in that space under the feeder...who knows?
If you think she might get stuck or injured I would try to eliminate that spot. Hopefully she can learn to cope and get along.
