I would drop the kids off tell them have fun and come on home 😁

As a kid all the kids in the family rotated between all our aunts and uncles place with their kids 😊
Hah, one day I’m sure we’ll do this. Right now they’re still three years and nine months old, so the parents stick around for the unsavory bits (night wakings, meals).

It's very windy here.

Princess has what looks like a lady egg this morning. She was thriving but now this. I'm wondering if i should give her an antibiotic
Antibiotic won't fix a lash egg or a fairy egg. Both are reproductive issues caused by "getting old" (quotes because high production breeds have the same issues due to laying too many eggs too quickly, wearing the poor girls out early).

Antibiotics deal with bacteria (they don't work on viruses, either). Bacteria can build up immunities to antibiotics when exposed too often. Unless you KNOW she's got a "bad bacteria" issue, save the antibiotics so they will be effective when she really NEEDS them to be. Then run the entire course even if she seems better after a day or 2 on them. (Attempting to put in English rather than Medical-ese)

My horse Lenny is leaving on Friday. My mom wasn’t going to tell me for who knows how long. I’m on the way to the barn and I’m going again tomorrow. I’ve been crying for the past few weeks, so I have very few tears to spare right now. I just shed a few. I’m gonna miss Lenny. He’s been a good boy.

I’ve ridden the new horse two times. He is a Mustang named Prince. One year ago you couldn’t get within 20 feet of him without him spooking. Now he’s a pretty nice boy.

Sorry, no pictures, but I have to share because I am laughing so hard.
I was cooking today and had a lot of kitchen scraps for the Princesses.
I took two containers out during the afternoon while they were out foraging and they came rushing in and really enjoyed it.
So this evening, as it was getting towards dusk, I went out with a third container to lock up the coop for the night.
Everyone mobbed the container and it was mayhem.
Babs and Bernie marched into the coop and up onto their roost. The Pentagonists saw that and followed.
As soon as the Pentagonists were distracted by their nighttime squabbles, Babs and Bernie got down off their roost and RAN to the container and ate up all the kitchen scraps.

Maybe it was just random, but it sure looked like the Odd Couple conspired to trick the Pentagonists out of their treats!

Such wisdom. I'm with you, they knew what they were doing. šŸ˜†

What a wonderful picture!

Another take on Alex’s situation might be that it is a reflection of how loved and trusted he is in his community and he just needs to start communicating that while he is still there for those who need him, he is not as young as he was and therefore not able to do everything he used to be able to do, and may even need a helping hand himself now and then.

Finishing up Hen House ā€˜B’ 😊 I have 4 days off work and it’s supposed to be mild so finishing up that task will be my priority.

Supper on Christmas Day is at my place so my sister and her husband and my nieces will be here for supper. I am sure my BIL won’t be of any help in the barn as that day is the start of World junior hockey championship. He will likely plop his butt in a chair in front of the tv and watch that. 🤨
Oh goodness. Have a good time.
