Bopping around because I'm behind. You or anybody else have a couple coolers? What's going on...Can't you throw some ice on it and be done? It"ll last at least a day. Have a beer, while you're cooking up a nice meal with a portion of it.

The delivery just arrived. They are setting things up. I’m staying well out of the way

Don’t over dramatize. Cook the shrimp. By the time it cools down you will have a freezer to put it in.
Same with the beef though if it is steak I would just reference it. If hamburger then cook before freezing.

I threw away 4 pounds of hamburger

Some fluffy butts. Kiddo spoiled the girls this morning with mealworms, birdseed, and dried corn. They were happy to partake!

I accidentally spilled some outside the gate so the braver girls got to creep out for some extras. Liara had to make sure it was safe first, she acts a lot like a roo and protects the others.
Hubby had a tooth pulled yesterday but had to work today, poor guy is probably going to be miserable when he gets home. I'm hoping to send kiddo next door so I can clean the bathrooms and set up a mealworm bin. Between the bearded dragon and the chooks, we'll need it!View attachment 3710240

@Desertvalleychickens I just love this photo. It kept pulling me back to look at it. I'm not sure what it is about it - the relative symmetry? the consistent earth tones in both the egg colors and the background? The simplicity yet beauty of it??? IDK - I just know I really, really am drawn to this picture.

I think it would make a GREAT jigsaw puzzle!!

Central Valley workmanship (even appliance delivery) is so lacking in intelligence and skill, it amazes me that they even have a job. I’m not one to hinder their ability to do their work, so I will stay away from the production and hold my Dakota instead. I’m not into lifting heavy refrigerators anyways

Even Hattie came over to the deck! She hasn't been over to the house in it feels like months.

Does that mean that she lets you get somewhat close to her now (even if she is still a 'no-touch', or does she still run from you because of the dosing?

I suppose better that she is able to run, than willing to stand near you but barely be able to sit comfortably.

Am I correct in assuming her breast is now all healed? I hope you can sneak her a walnut or two; tell her bgmathteach said she deserves one or two!

I don't know. My understanding was that it was a surprise research finding specifically in cats.
It is a very dramatic effect - she goes from a hissing, spitting monster to 'whatever'! It takes a couple of hours to wear off at home and she is a little wobbly on her feet - not too bad - basically she sleeps it off. But it is amusing to see how chill she is. She even purrs when you pet her tummy (normally she might bite if you do that uninvited).
Anyway, it is a game changer. Taking her to the vet was so stressful for her and therefore for me. She looked like she would explode and take the vet techs down with her.

Your description makes me think of Chloe on catnip in Secret Lives of Pets
