How i wish I'd tried the Netti pot that was suggested to me, ( as the native Americans would say) many moons ago and repeatedly by a few people throughout the years.

I got on well with my salt nose wash but tonight I tried this neti pot out of desperation. What a huge help this is.

I bow down too every single person that suggested it. They ALL were absolutely right.

By the way. I know exactly how I caught this, it was a filthy selfish man.

He was in a health spa on the reception and cooking food without gloves or a mask. Forgive my bluntness, but reasons are I made suggestions how he could temporarily clean the mucous from his nose and clean up a little and he scoffed me like I was a complete idiot.
Both my friend and I came down with his rotten cold. Rotten being the word.

Hence MAN FLU.
He ruined our Christmas

I find the Netti pots to be very helpful. I used to get sinus infections once or twice a year but many years ago this was suggested to me. For me it completely solved the issue ans I have never gotten one since. I am a fan!

This is a wretched cold that has got onto my chest. I've been drinking ginger cloves turmeric and pepper tea with honey and lemon. Herbal tea and honey and this morning I had black tea and honey. Plus a couple of teaspoons of honey in-between

I can smell and taste, so it's not covid.

Loss of smell/taste is no longer an indicator for Covid; it may be worth checking to see if that’s what you have.

Start with a cat - like a gateway drug - you can have a cat and work - they kinda like it when they have the place to themselves. Mine were initially quite grumpy when I was home all day because of Covid restrictions.
Now they get grumpy if I leave the house.
I adore my cats - but it is not all sweetness - last night I barely got any sleep because of an epic battle between two cats and a flying squirrel that had got into the house.
It started at midnight and at about 6am I finally managed to get the little guy to go outside.
I will need a nap later.

My husband loves cats. He'd be completely happy if I told him we can have a cat... I am allergic to cat hair but I know certain cats are fine. I like cats but I am not eager to have one.

Dakota is so sweet this morning. Quietly sitting on the perch waiting for me to go inside the chickens room. She saw me look in, and started saying something about wanting canned corn . She got her canned corn.

Save every penny you can! Every little bit you put away helps. I learned a lot from Mr. Money Mustache. If I'd read that blog when I was 20, I wouldn't have had to wait until my 50s to retire, I bet.

A Christmas Miracle

Because we are celebrating the holidays with are children I won't be on much. However I just had to share this Christmas miracle with everyone.

While I was prepping the coop for an extended lock up period, I found this!

Glynda started laying during the shortest days of the year and the blue spray paint dispenser is full again!

I had no idea. Why would I be checking for eggs at the winter solstice? What a wonderful surprise. She had a nice break in the fall so no worries despite the fact that it feels soon.

I haven't been able to take any pictures because of the storms here. But yesterday princess laid a perfect egg, no shell but the egg was really healthy and she enjoyed being in the garden for almost 2 hours

She only had one very small lash egg and the following day she had a antibiotic . They were for bacteria. They are very strong and she only had 1 and a half spread over 3 days. The reason being these antibiotics are only three in a pack for an adult

I washed her legs feet and bottom and her fluffy looks really beautiful. I wish I could take a picture.

I've managed too get out to her three times today and she's had her food and treats with a little bread with lots of praise telling her how great she is

Here's hoping for a break in the weather so she can roam in the garden again her chicken/cat.

Two of my dogs choose me, I had absolutely no choice at all with this one.
He refused food and water and was listless, when I arrived he became full of life and within hours of being in my home he ate like crazy.

Sometimes these little fur people decide who they want.
