I get the odd egg in the state bales but they are better now at laying in the nest boxes

Its normal for me to go outside and find eggs around the coop. It doesn't surprise me.
One of the hens has a corner dirt nest that she lays her egg in.

For the second day in a row, Button laid her egg in the nest. Ya know, girl, it's gonna be expected of you now!

Robin, however, still made her nice round nest on the floor and left her egg there.
