Oh that must have been so painful! What did the sitter do?

The sitter put her in a cardboard box in the garage for the night, and informed me so I could come up with a plan from abroad.

I called in a favor with a friend (who does not have chickens, but the type who loves to save strays) who jumped right in and made sure Vulture had food and water containers she could feel her way to with just her beak (her eyes were swollen shut for a while). Meanwhile I had Amazon deliver blukote to my friend. And that was it: clean wound, isolation, food & water, and some blukote. I wish I had been there to snip away some skin though, there’s a loose flap over her left eye that now obscures her vision.

Okay, all you great/verbose people out there - what is a good name for me? I'm not fond of 'enabler', as I only enable at time (but when I do, I do - right @RoyalChick ) I suspect it will be a while before I progress points wise to move on to whatever BYC's next level is beyond 'enabler', so I'm open to suggestions!

Also, hope @BY Bob , @RebeccaBoyd , @ChicoryBlue , @RoyalChick , and any others in the path of this past storm, weathered it well. (I know @RoyalChick , you aren't home - but hopefully you have a good clean-up crew for the snow, with no other issues while you are traveling)

Thankfully no snow here. Instead rain, rain and more rain. I am sick of rain. I need several days of no rain or the horror of it all a hard freeze for several days. There is a coop to be built but it cannot be done in the slop that is the future coop area and backyard. Looking at my 10 day forecast best shot for a few day dry spell will start Saturday.

I love this playlist. Besides partying it would also be a good list to listen to while cleaning the house and or horse stalls. Maybe not the horse stalls. Not sure I need to get Berthie back in the party mood.
