This is very sound advice.For all of you looking at building coops: build something wind proof. You might think my coop is wind proof. Think again. Make sure it has tons of structural rigidity and can withstand being rammed in to. Ours has slight permanent damage (as far as I know) from the wind literally yanking the tarp-roof (don't do that, make a real roof), and as a result pulling the coop together and almost toppling one of the walls. Even if you have to make it shorter (which we are going to have to do to make it more wind proof according to Mom) it's worth it for you, your chickens, and everyone around you.
