Mornin. Kid and I woke up at 3am and she just couldn't go back to sleep. Hoping to lay her down for a nice long nap after she's done with second breakfast.View attachment 3736296
Yesterday Fenix got a hard peck from Liara and barely avoided Ash charging him. He keeps trying to get in there for a good sniff around but the girls aren't having it!

Morinth is VERY reddened up now. She's doing the whole squat and shimmy just like Samara.

I wish Kasumi was fully in the frame here, it's such a cute picture.
Wont be long now I bet till she is laying an egg for you. That is a a great photo that third one :)

I looked again at these pictures. Misty is a really gorgeous hen. I know I will forget, but is she a particular breed?
Well just a mutt really - the lady my niece got the eggs from had a mix of everything. She got 3 hens and 4 roos out of the 7 that hatched. The hens are Misty, Whiskers (laying green eggs), and Buttercup (laying blue eggs).

I am pretty sure Little Grey is her daughter, she has a nicer coloured grey - just a tad bit lighter with a bit darker edging not very noticeable but it's there.

It’s a do your neighbor a favor day I guess. She’s got a flat tire on her car so she called me. I’ll go check on her in about an hour. I’m cleaning Sir Jaffar’s leg feathers and nails at the moment. Little Xzit is next. :old
Sometimes it’s worth the money to have roadside assistance insurance on your vehicles!
Yep I have CAA (your AAA), and it's well worth it!

Samara is a busy lady!

So far she skips one day a week and lays super early the next morning.
Kiddo had a great nap, and now she's trying dried cherries for the first time. She's not sure exactly what to think of them.
Those are lovely eggs, such nice speckles on them - very pretty.

Oh and thanks for say so - I shall tell her that you think she is gorgeous :) I like her colour also - and my Blacksmith really likes her - she thought she was a Blue Marans when she first saw her :)

Yes and several people have laughed at her. It's okay, keep your reactions. I haven't told her and won't consider telling her.
They do look rather odd when they moult - and poor Marty looked grim for so long before she finally moulted! Now she is a fluffy little puffball :)

My other two silkies are moulting! Curly and Fluffy are full of pin feathers - what gives? ! I have never seen such a thing at this time of year.
