I have officially warmed up to the idea of having a green egg layer. I found this in the nest box after Goose evacuated this evening. Owly's green egg, Goose's tan and the rocks pink. They look so pretty together.

I am beyond thankful it happened at night and not in the summertime. The shelter it provided has long been one of the chickens favorite hangout spots in the heat.

Of gosh yes very glad no one hurt, I often wondered about the bank there, guess now I know

Everyone is very very grumpy since the snow started up again. Petunia and Eli-too got into a brawl and Rose broke it up! Then Mr P came marching over and ran the youngsters off, then they started up again - I think Petunia won that match!

They need something more to keep them occupied. My chooks start acting up when they get bored ! I usually hang up some apples or a cabbage. Re-arrange the coop and run. Just anything that breaks the monotony.

Sounds like a quick visit with a shovel or pick axe to collapse it BEFORE she decides to put it to use.

That’s okay, I have a great rooster now in Sir Jaffar. He’s not the biggest rooster, and I can’t wrestle with him the way I did with BEN, but he’s still a very good rooster.

Same here. Very annoying when the zillionth airplane flies over and gets yet another warning from Cockerel.

I'm gonna guess there's a no fly zone for things like my drone.
Sometimes there'll be shooting noises late at night.
