I checked and there is a 3 bird minimum on each of the breeds, so even if I wanted only a couple of each I can’t do that.

Sheesh! I am rethinking this whole thing. Maybe I will just have the silkies hatch eggs this year. I sooooo wanted a couple of Brahma though, and some French cuckoo Marans

So get three of one breed. Then another three of one breed next year.

They have been released and 2 intrepid souls have reached the deck. They have been justly rewarded.

Meanwhile, Aurora tried to fly to the deck to only strand herself in a small pocket of melt. Who knows how this will turn out.

I highly doubt that there is a paper about hens that believe a human is a rooster. I suppose I could write a whole story about that, considering the fact that my hens believe I am a rooster and even barge in the doors because of that...
And Cockerel actually acts different towards me because he thinks I am a rooster.

Earlier today, I was sitting here at my desk. I see In Albis run past my door. She then turns around and starts ramming her head into my screen door. She managed to push it open (it's a curtain) and practically ran inside.

"I NEED A NEST. NOW!".

She then promptly jumped into the dark corners under my desk, aka the nest of wires I can't be bothered to fix. After that, she promptly ran out the door and straight to the coop since I had removed her because the chance of her destroying my stuff was there.

Oh. And there's succulents up there. I don't need her knocking the switch down along with the cactus.

I think it was you, @RebeccaBoyd , but I remember someone here hates cactus. Feast your eyes on these ones.

Yes. All the time..
I was trading notes with a friend who just retired a couple of years after me - and we both agreed that waking up in the morning and having no clue if it was the weekend or not was a really special feeling.

I've had days where I forget what day of the week it is. Yesterday threw me off. I kept thinking Sunday in my head, and today I think Monday.
