It should be a great day today. Sir Jaffar he COCORICO this morning. Competition with the roo next door, I imagine.
That was yesterday. Today he seems kinda listless and not very energetic. Maybe he was just waking up?
But if that’s the case, then why am I inside the coop this morning? :idunno

Maybe what you need is for somebody ELSE to bring their flock over and forage your fields for a little while. Like renting goats! 🤔 "Rent-A-Chicken"....our neighbors did that a couple of summers, thinking it would save them money not feeding them over the winter - they didn't get a cheesy coop with the hens, they already had a pretty nice & secure coop and run from previously having chickens. Hmmm there could be bio-security issues...
Rent-a-Guinea - I love it!

I am trying to keep up!
But I believe dark skin is complicated. The gene for black skin is not sex linked but the modifier gene is sex linked. And there is a third gene involved and at that point I bow out!
Black skin is simple...when the mother is 100% dark and the father is 100% not. It's when the mother isn't 100% it gets complicated.

Going to read that. Meanwhile @Ponypoor it looks like both crosses should pop blue babies with Colombian markings. Mr P's unknown other (that showed up in Floyd and shows in the champagne/blonde tones of his saddle feathers) complicates things a bit. The buff should have some leakage, but to what degree....wait and see.

No to go read that article and let the coffee do its job.

You are probably already beyond the level of the article I linked.
I should clarify that it was helpful for me!
