Happy for you Marie! Sounds like cherished time to be sure.
It honestly was. He went quiet and was on his phone, so I told him off and then felt awful because he was ordering my a lamp that I can fit into the tiny space that I have at the side of my bed
Everyone really got on with him where we were, they were so welcoming too us both. He wasn't in the tiniest bit worried about the lovely people that surrounded us

They even provided me with a lovely cocktail. 😍

So glad you had a good time with him.

I just fell asleep with my fur babies and I'm still tired.

I've had a fab afternoon night and breakfast morning with my son. He wore me out and spoiled me rotten. I rarely get to see him. This is the first alone time we've had in so many years. It was really a wonderful experience ❤️ 💙 💜 💖

It wasn't possible to cook a complex meal today, so I've just made a really quick spicy lentil and vegetables soup

Family time is always a loving time 💕😊

Lucky

My neighbour popped over to say one of my chickens was over there.

Nope they are all here!

So she shows me the wayward chicken and I said ……

Her though I will keep!!!

How she didn’t get eaten getting all the way down here from my neighbour 1km up the road I will never know! It’s heavy bush and swamp. She’s one lucky clucky!

@BY Bob what do you think???
OMG! How lucky are you both. Was a gorgeous lady. Welcome to the world of Polish ladies!

Let me make a more clever name suggestion for this beautiful lady.

"Lakshmi" is the Hindu goddess of beauty, charm, grace, and prosperity. The name means 'lucky omen'.

How about Lakshmi?

I have been wrestling with an egg mystery which I think I have finally solved.
So we can congratulate Calypso for laying her first egg. The event occurred on Wednesday.
Maybe that is why she has suddenly got all grumpy and aggressive to Piglet?

Anyway the mystery was this.
I collected 6 eggs on Wednesday. Only one brown so either Bernie or Sylvie didn’t lay. Probably Bernie.
4 blue. 3 identical like Piglet and Pooh’s eggs. Smallish, very smooth, pretty blue. The 4th was bigger, the size of a Bab’s egg and slightly rough as hers often are. But the color had a hint of green unlike her usual egg.

So, did I have 3 identical blue eggs because I missed collecting a Piglet or Pooh egg the day before? Or did I have a new blue egg layer?
Who laid the mystery egg with a hint of green? Was it Babs with new ink? Or did I have a new hint-of-green layer?

Today all became clear: Babs has filled up her ink cartridge with a slightly different shade, and Calypso has started laying and her eggs are identical to Piglet and a Pooh’s eggs!

Congratulations Calypso - but really there is no need to be so mean to Piglet - it’s not her fault you have to lay eggs!
It’s what happens when you don’t replace your ink cartridges with approved factory ink! Your equipment will start acting up!

Interesting I have never seen it here.

Can chickens also eat it? Healthy fats t make shiny feathers. I much look this up.

gosh Jumapurr sure is a cutie pie, and I bet she rules the house ❤️ Meooow!

Yes gorgeous. What is she again? With those leg feathers she must have Marans in her.
You could certainly mix it in with their feed, I just don't know how much you would use for chickens.

Hello FBF, I am doing some chicken sitting with a heavy heart, my mama passed on the 7th, she had been ill for some time. I got to travel back to Delaware to see her shortly before and I am grateful for that.

Some pictures of happy chickens pecking around:

I'm so very sorry for your loss. :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs :hugs

I'm glad you got a chance to see her.

Chicken therapy is a great tool for me when trying to process things. I hope you find it a useful as I do.
