Okay, I’ll be right up to get you and your supplies. The strapping has to be less than 4 1/2 ft long to fit into the passenger compartment of MarieOh Alex I would love to visit and see you and chooks and help you fix the fence between your place and your neighbour.
Here is what I plan on doing with my horse side fence the flying bad girls like to go over.
I will screw some 2’ lengths of 1/2” x 1” strapping upright, to the posts; next I will cut some netting I have here to 2’ widths; then I will staple the netting to the 2’ upright strapping - this will make a barrier that they can’t fly over or through. And because chickens generally like to fly up onto and then down off of fences the very thin netting will not hold their weight so they won’t want to fly up onto it.
I would think this would work for your place also likely.
The netting I have is 7’ x 50’ and was inexpensive - $30 if I remember.
I should have enough to make 2’ widths x the 50’ length to go down the one side easy.
