Just keep hauling her off a couple times a day and bringing he away from the nest to eat drink and poop. Some sardines and scrambled eggs and scratch grains don’t hurt. When I went to put the girls to bed, Samara was on the perch outside the coop. She trilled at me when she saw me, and I put her in the coop. I guess there must be some roost drama happening. Thankfully she seems to not want to be broody right now.
As for Morinth, her keelbone is getting noticeable. I might have to start giving her more snacks since she's sitting on the nest.
I wouldn’t give him to someone I didn’t trust. If they hurt him then I’ll hurt them back. That’s what I’m hoping for
Scrambled eggs are going to be the easiest!Just keep hauling her off a couple times a day and bringing he away from the nest to eat drink and poop. Some sardines and scrambled eggs and scratch grains don’t hurt.
How long has she been at it now?
Once she finishes being broody she will also moult. So don’t expect eggs any time soon. With my silkies it’s usually 6 weeks: broody for a few weeks, then moult then they start laying again.
