Make sure he is in a safe secure place, leave a friend with him, and leave him on the floor. Don’t want him jumping around.

Then go to church and enjoy Easter mass - you need to see other people, relax and enjoy.
I have already decided. I’m not leaving my buddy alone in his time of need. There’s gonna be other gatherings that I will attend. I don’t have the heart to leave him alone (even with a chickensitter)

This is the snake I had to rehome last spring. He is a california king snake named Pagani. Very sassy but also was sweet when he settled down. He musked so much and bit if he thought you had food. But I still miss him. I hope he's happy at his new owners house, he said he was going to be his "showoff when guests come over" snake since most of his were venomous.

He was exactly as mean and sassy as he looks in this pic. But then he'd relax and be very cuddly and want to explore.

See his little heartbreaker marking between his eyes?

I think when Shenron passes I might get another snake.

It’s your call. In this case then I suggest you both get outside in the sun and relax. You both need to be outside in the sunlight, getting all that vitamin D, and soaking up the warmth.

You have a wonderful setup, having a long lasting relationship with a vet. We’ve been seeing the same vet here… oh, maybe a decade? But no exotics, no farm animals. I had to just about beg to have them let me send in fecal samples.

I actually have a couple of fish tanks and am in the fish world as well. Let me see what meds come via those stores.

Undercutting all this is that Becky is already symptomatic. She had that bout of lethargy, several weeks worth of soft shelled eggs (which tells me it’s not a new infection), and why did her bum deplume?? If all this works, I’m looking at it like RC said so nicely: to give her another summer of play.
Ok so here is what Sharpie plopped out this morning. I had been keeping an eye on her to see what she did as she had been in the nest boxes.

Now not much turns my stomach but this made me retch, it has an odour and just looks awful.

I am assuming it is actually the remnants of the egg that broke in her the other day; I was going to go fishing around in her today, but guess her body did the hard work.

There is a ‘lash’ and there is the remnants of the shell - both have a bad odour, I am SOOO glad I popped a 500mg bolus of amox in her yesterday.

Right now she is still in the nest box but I will need to haul her off soon so I can medicate her with the amoxicillin and aspirin.

I am sooo glad she expelled this on her own, I do not like mucking around inside, it increases risks of infection and damage.

Both items she expelled

The soft shell which also has infected material and gelatinous material in it.

What lovely markings, my frien had a ball Python she got from the Toronto Zoo when she worked there, the snake was not going on exhibit and needed to be rehomed so she took the snake in.
