Please everyone send good thoughts to this big orange Crackerjacks way. Mom and dad are off to the vet with him right now.

We think he got hit this morning. No visible injuries other then he back end looks and feels funny. Something is wrong with his pelvis and potentially back. Dang it Jack, I could choke you for this.
Hang on in there Jack. 🙏 come back limping by all means but stay with us

Fingers firmly crossed here.

Last night I went to close the coop. 24 adults....24 adults....where's Pear? She's spent the night outside before.....and loitered until almost full dark before turning up. Ok leave the coop open and come back at 3/4 dark. Close the coop (lamp off, forgot phone, no light) final headcount not happening.

Sherlock barked again during the night, not seeing anything.

Morning. Sherlock early morning leg lifting 100% supervised in case Pear is out. Opening the coop: out comes Pear with everyone else. Headcount: 25 adults, 9 babies.

Heading to car to leave for work: PEEP, PEEP, PEEP, PEEP. Go check. Blurr and Rose have left the coop (hatch) and wandered around the other side of the coop together, with PITA following. Now feeling lost, calling for others. PITA left when I walked up. They complained but let me pick them up and return to hatch. I would have herded them so they could find their own way, but already running behind schedule.

Is that there edible 🤔

Oh, I love my math teacher. I thought that it was going to be too early for an April Fools joke, but I was wrong. She had so many people crying. My math teacher isn’t leaving, thank goodView attachment 3788908
Wow, that's pretty hard-core! I'd say it's over the line actually, but I'm the gullible type. She's trusting you all aren't going to get her back in some big, big way... 🤔 You want ideas? 🤔 Haha! I'm glad for you it turns out she isn't leaving.

Rest in Peace Jack
7-12-2015-4-2-2024.

His back was broke and the spinal cord severed. Surgery was given as a option, but due to the location of the injury he would never have control of his bladder or bowels again. Vet thinks it happened sometime yesterday instead of this morning as his bladder was huge. Mom considered the surgery but dad made the call to euthanize. He said having to be catharized to pee every time for the rest of his life was no way to live.
