Gosh she is a beauty 💕

I am so jealous, you can get such lovely chicks down there. Peavey Mart is doing a nice job of getting some different breeds up here, but I wish they could get stuff from some other hatcheries - like McMurray’s…

Speaking of chicks….
Today is the first arrivals of chicks at Peavey, good thing I have to take my truck to the mechanic tonight for repairs. 😊
Good thing it's tonight so you can still run out and get chicks.

I am also in a sticky chick situation. I was going to buy 40 cornish cross chicks from my neighbour, and she kept postponing and postponing and postponing. Now I'm supposed to pick them up today, and go figure, next week I'm supposed to get sixty red broilers from Peavey. Then, a week after that, I'm supposed to get my twelve specialty egglayers. I don't have enough space!

By using my brains though, I made a plan. It's getting warmer here (actually very warm-- it's going to be 16 degrees Celsius here!) and the grass is beginning to grow. The meat chickens should be fine once they are three weeks old. The layers will go with them (like last year) until they are old enough to go into the big coop. With a little squishing, everyone should fit without me having to build something.

This is a better picture of Josey. Better then the pictures @notabitail takes of her😂😁
