Ps. What in the h… is a crumpet?

It's about the size of an English muffin and looks like a pancake that doesn't get flipped: thick, bubbles all through it, golden brown on the cooked side. Served warm, buttered, sometimes with jam. Doesn't exactly taste like a pancake, though.

If someone was to ask me a year ago, what I would be doing today, I certainly wouldn’t have answered “laying on my couch covered in chicken poop !” But here I am!

Are those black flies? We have black flies here, they drive the horses bonkers!

Buffalo gnat, also called black fly, turkey gnat, white socks -- all Simuliidae Family -- all the same dastardly pest/killer! And their larvae are so disgusting to see!
