I have eight hens and they fight over one box. They refuse to use the other one.

I have more nest boxes than hens and they still fight over one. Strangely, not always the same one.

School chick update

Seems all the blue egg chicks have hatched out - not sure where that black one comes from and is that other a lavender?

And now 4 of the silkie eggs have pipped, sure hope they all hatch by days end.
