If Pastel is good w/ his ladies & protects them keep him and just wear hi-top galoshes to protect your legs from his spurs. You can always put a childs sock over his head whenever you need to hold him for health checks and wear long arm gloves and long sleeves to protect from scratches. I always wear cheap glasses to protect my eyes from curious pecks. Where there's a will there's a way. It's all part of raising pets or livestock. Hope this helps?
Thank you!

Congratulations @BY Bob!!

I make sun tea on the back porch. Put four tea bags in a big lidded jar, bring in at end of day and add sugar to taste. Mmm.
Yes -- Sun tea w/black tea always seems to taste better than teapot tea! We like raw unfiltered honey rather than sugar/artificial sweeteners. Yum. For herbal tea I like peppermint.

And caught both Reenie and Truly snoozing Friday night, and I see Truly was down sleeping again last night.

Is it possible the migrating wild geese/fowl are what's spreading AI thru North America or is it the fault of crowded industrial poultry farms for the spread? It seems backyarders dont get AI & only the commercial poulters do?!

Also, I thought horses slept standing & only lay down if ill? I learn so much on BYC.
