"You are not using my feathers as your bedding!"
What's funny is our Dom molts enough feathers equal to a pillow!

When we treated our Dominique hen for Bumblefoot (she gets it once a year, why? we don't know) we treat her daily for a couple weeks with 20-30 minute warm Epsom salts foot soaks and then vet-wrap her foot w/ triple antibiotic ointment on a round cotton cosmetic makeup pad over the wound. Eventually the Bumble scab peels off the bottom of her foot. To our surprise a bit of her spur daily came off w/ the soiled cotton pad. She now has one leg w/ a shorter spur. We never cut any of the spur -- it just melted off from the Bumble treatment!

"Dana" calmly relaxes in her foot soak (2023).

She gets to be a house chicken for the duration to treat her Bumblefoot -- this was in 2022 when she was 5 yrs old.

Excellent work and thank you for your guidance that can serve others :love

Good morning everyone - Wednesday thankfully - I am so tired, I don’t sleep well and getting up at 4am is exhausting. Add in the spraddle legged chick worry….

But it’s Wednesday yay! Two more morning then I can sleep in.

Wacky wattle Wednesday

Good morning Kelly.
Have you tried the old trick of eating a banana half an hour before bedtime then turning off all of the lights
