Mom is yelling at me and telling me that I shouldn’t do it, but how else am I supposed to know what happened? And I want to become a vet, so I need to learn how to do this one day

I have several friends who are Vets. They tell me horror stories about how the Veterans administration had slowed the process of medical treatment for sick, injured and disabled veterans.
Oh, you meant “Veterinarian”

Do it! I kept mine in the fridge for up to a week so don't worry about it not being freezing cold!

You lost your two beautiful blacks. Sad yes but I understand your pain and sadness. I would be looking around for any possible contamination around your coop, run, feed, water and pest management issues.
