We usually share in the naming process here - but I did name my two chicks last November myself - Betty after Bobs frizzle polish who passed, and Bert because if they were two boys they would be Ernie and Bert 😊

My Buff Orps were a collaboration - Butters is Rebecca’s BO hens name that passed, and Jaffarra I named after Alex’s Roo Jaffar who passed. Pepper I just started calling her that so it stuck, Cayenne was suggested by bgmathteach, and Goldie from Greg’s hen Goldi, and Sweetie I kept calling her that.

My latest chicks have no names yet!

Lavender Orp and a Midnight Majesty Marans.

Suggestion anyone?
I thought you were going for Noon and Midnight? Or Laverne and Shirley....

Ok, more ideas...

My Dakota is a redheaded pita. She won’t act as a lap chicken, but if I leave her alone, the whole neighborhood will hear her complaints! She got involved in the fight too, I don’t understand that at all.
Ps. The fight was bad. Biting and kicking, pulling out feathers, head pecking and more. I tried to get into the middle and stop it, but then they just moved to another area of the yard.:old Some evil has come to Cluckingham Court. I must do something about it.

It's called broody. In Albis and Gaby were fighting to see who could go broody. Nothing I can do to stop it. Gaby seems to be planning on going broody.

@BY Bob, I realize you are in dire need of seeing yet another Leghorn butt. Here is one, with a bonus Dominica rear in shot.
