"Oh! I got a new hen yesterday. She’s a lavender Orpington that I named Amethyst. She was supposed to be a meat rooster, and all of her brothers were getting shot at night, about five every night. I was planning on putting him in with the roosters where Amethyst was, but then the owner started shooting them and I decided not to… I’m thinking maybe Facebook Marketplace or maybe I will go to a livestock auction. I am going to get another rooster from a close friend. She’s the one who gave me three eggs to hatch out, and those eggs (two were fertile) turned out to be Pastel and Splotch. He is an Easter Egger x Sumatra. And he is so beautiful. "

I've not been so good this week due to dental pain. It's almost like princess knew last night. I only asked her once to go to bed and for the first time ever she immediately did as she was asked.
