Yep they are really hilarious aren’t they 🥰

I am continuing to make sure I handle them to keep them friendly - the smaller one is still the friendliest one, I guess because of all the handling she had when I had her here with the spraddle legged chick.
The little one is interesting with the coloring coming in. I think that one will look something like Teddy and Poppet. It hatched out solid right? I'm trying to get hints on the wing feathers coming in on my oddball chicks. Right now, I do not see them looking anything like Poppet. I have hints one may be going in the direction Ezzie took. The next few weeks is going to be exciting and keeping me guessing.

Tuesday two-fer

The two silkie chicks and the four replacement chicks.

I don’t think I will have an issue rehoming those 4 chicks when they are older, they will be very lovely pullets.

The two are Americanas and the grey ones are Sapphire Gems.

And two boxes of sparklers, and some piccolo Petes :D

Anyone got any experience of putting two broodies in the same jail cage?
Mine will share a nest it seems so I wonder if I could put two in the cage at the same time.
My worry is that one will simply use the other as a nest.
I guess I could set up two cages but finding a flat surface is tricky. Maybe I could hang one from the rafters like I hang their feeders.
Hmmm.

I have heard of people putting 3 in a jail cage at the same time. I guess try it and see how they behave.

Awwww am Ezzie twin would so sweet 🥰

It annoys me to no end that I will split up the flock to even them out between Hen House A and Hen House B, then when I get back to the house everyone migrates back to Hen House A! Sheesh!

I don’t know why I bother to make the effort!

The only ones to stay in Hen House B are the three Azur and my BIL hens.
I put Bert out there at evening feeding and he stays with those ladies.

All that space and they have to cram themselves in one spot.
:th
