TeeHee! "Christmas" is a gander (goose) not a drake (duck).
Our friend calls him "Chris" for short! They are obviously very attached to him.

As cute and adorable as ducks are I prefer geese for their practical usefulness on a farm. They are way less messy/smelly than ducks and don't require pond living to be happy, great as watch dogs, some breeds are less noisy than ducks, and they don't tear up the landscape as much as ducks.

I really like geese ♥️

Last night I lost him and Mrs LC, I could hear them peeping but for the life of me I couldn’t find them!

I was getting so frustrated and worried - I was about to move everything piece of plywood thinking they were stuck behind it somehow.

Then I looked up…. WTHeck?! Brats!

They flew up and were roosting on the power cord from the shop light I have in the Summer House I keep on during the day as it can be dim I there.

They must have flown from the 2x4 I have for them to roost on, up onto that cord. Just darn glad PepperLarry didn’t also try to follow them up there she’s another good flier!

And there they were snuggled up in the sag in the power cord… Brats! I had to drag out my ladder to get them down, and they had poopy feet which I got all over me.

I need to be more careful with your choice of words. "Last night I lost him and Mrs LC" sounds like they had passed on to me. My heart stopped when I read them. A better phrase would be "last night I could not locate him and Mrs LC".

Do you see the difference? It creates the desired stress without the inference they are no longer with us.

I love how the Polish chick pops her head up every now and again hahaha.

No doubt she will be following that Buff Orp up there in no time 😊
I am sure. The orpington is slightly larger physically and is using that to its advantage right now.

“@By Bob. I apologize for CeeCee’ ignorance. She doesn’t yet know how to address the court as she should have. But she sure learned how to manipulate my iPhone, didn’t she? :th
To address a Royal court, one must first make an application, and then if accepted by the court, classes must be taken for manners and protocol. No one, in a proper court setting is usually allowed access to her Royal Highness, without first obtaining permission to, and then only after having been given permission by her Royal majesty.
Things are tough all over! :th

It gave me a scare too. I almost couldn’t read on as I couldn’t cope with learning the details of their demise.
