Samara seems a little nervous but Morinth is acting like she's been raising chicks for ages. I closed the maternity suite to give them peace and quiet to settle in.

The other girls got some more treats, frozen watermelon, electrolyte water, and some cold water soaked henhouse reserve. I told them they will have flockmates soon, and gave them all some love.
The little polish chicks are settling in. I keep having to put more things to visually block the dog from seeing them because he's getting worked up having them indoors.

I also grilled outside today in the heat. I love to grille but it is so hot I finally just gave in.

If you want to make hamburgers with ground beef use the broiler on your oven. We do and it's real good.

Nope!

I do not like selling animals anymore- I had my fill of that when I had horses. It would break my heart to see my babies I raised up sold to someone who then didn’t take care of them. I would see them and they would be skinny wormy and feet need doing.

It will bother me to no end to sell the pullet chicks but I cannot keep them. And I will always wonder how they are.

I would be exactly the same

At this point, I should make an article about chickens and music and my experience with it.

This picture is just so good. There's a lot of people really surprised when they see my cat hanging around with princess, these sort of pictures explains that it can be done

Unfortunately, I am having the same issues. Hot, thunder and lightning storms. With humidity beyond belief.
The air traffic controller, stated that I had to wait for my flight, because the tanker aircraft was using the runway all afternoon. There’s a fire on the reservation in the local area (bummer huh?)

I did not think you would have high humidity there. How sad for the forest fire.

Our sunset last night was very odd, it was red from the smoke from forest fires out west.
