Baby outside spam!
They are acting way better, less fearful and behaving like chickens.

I grabbed each of them and popped them under the brooder, they stayed a minute or two to warm up then resumed chicken activities.

Feeling dirt under their toesies for the first time.

The cardboard wall will provide a little more wind break for them, they're closed in on 3 sides with solid walls there in the back, and the brooder can sit nicely on the cardboard too.

I went out to grab the cardboard from broody jail and all seven chicks were dustbathing!
How darling. 🥰

So cute! I just love the littles' little fuzz-ball derrieres🥰 - thank you for this pic :)

How was Hattie's Hatch Day party? I hope she got some blueberries! 😉
The party has been moved to tomorrow morning because of some difficulties with attendees. It's going to be so much fun! 😁

Shocking!!! 😲

Terror fear anger angst extreme relief

This is what I went through when I went to do chores about an hr ago, walking to the barn and out pups Fluffy from the brush in front of the barn.

To say I ran to scoop her up was an understatement - I galloped across the yard. She didn’t even protest, she looked up at me and I know she was thinking ‘Hooman you’re a moron’.

I remember trying to get Mr P into the summer house and Fluffy running out between my legs, and I thought - I’ll just grab her after I get the Roo settled. Well I got distracted putting everyone else where they should be, and did my headcount of the main gang.

I really need to rehome Bert, having to move two flocks around is not working - I am not set up for separate flocks. And I don’t want to be. The two Roos are still fighting, through the fence now. Darn that Bert, and darn Mr P.

Is this what I will have to put up with when Mr LC come of age? How is it others have multiple Roos that get along? What on earth set Mr P and Bert off anyways? They were getting on really well. And it was like a switch went off. They just started fighting 😢
