It is going to storm all day, so no play time for the chickies. If it was a normal rain shower I would take them out. In under 2 hours we are supposed to have severe storms. My spoiled babies are not ready for that. I also saw a add posted today that I hope my brother does not spot. Gold laced polish chick for sale sorta locally. I stared at the picture for a good 10 minutes pondering if I should show him. The crest has me a bit iffy though, from the side it is looking very rooster like and going every which way. Females are supposed to have a neat round crest right? No offense to Mr. P, but if I get another rooster I want it to be a Branch son not a Polish. I am also already heading into this thinking I am going to have 2 boys out of this group of chicks with Adele. Adele is insanely friendly and in my experience the ones that love me the most are boys.

So the Mellow Yellow song. When the instrumental part around the middle (I think it was the trumpets) started playing, Grandma lifted her neck and looked around my room. Regardless, she sat and listened to the song, while scratching herself because she is losing feathers.

She has some lacing....cochins don't have an upright tail, I think....hmmmm...laced breeds: wyandotte, Barnevelder, cochin, orpington, polish....in standard sizes...not sure in bantam sizes and silkies could breed either way. The tail: wyandotte, Polish, not sure on the barnies, but think so...feathered feet: cochin, silkie....

Hmmm. Now I'm wondering if both parents are silkie mixes and there's both cochin and wyandotte or Polish there. Both parents get the fluffy feet, the one also gets the tail and in crossing for her, she gets the tail and the extra fluffy feet. The parent mixed with the non-feathered feet would likely be light feathered, while the cochin-silkie mix likely have extreme feathered boots.

Honestly, I really don't know, but she's a beauty.

She is! She's got a little pompom, she's got fuzzy feet, all sorts of gold bling, and she's a sweetie!
