I'm really hoping I get some nice brown chickens from the eggs. Polish chicken lady says she has a ton of colors in all her pens so there's a good chance of it. My BOrps are turning orange already.

The only way I can tell my three buff Orps apart is their behaviour.

Sweetie pie is the friendliest and a big suck she loves to cuddle.

Butters is also friendly but not the big suck like Sweetie, she likes to also peck at my ankles.

Goldie is not so friendly, but will come and pull at my slacks, and peck my legs, she doesn’t want to be picked up at all.

This is the only way I can tell them apart!

I got lucky tonight. All the birds are in the coop at a decent time tonight. Four were outside the door and I pointed at the coop, sternly saying goodnight! They filed in quickly.

I got lucky tonight. All the birds are in the coop at a decent time tonight. Four were outside the door and I pointed at the coop, sternly saying goodnight! They filed in quickly.

Good show! It’s a rodeo here this past week; with the two Roos split up I have to ensure the groups are correct, Mr P and the Silkies are all together, and then there are the wee babies in their home. They actually are well behaved and generally go home when I tell them.

The oldest chicks house with Mr P and the silkies in the summer house at night. They get settled in there at 8 when I do evening feed.

Tomorrow I am going to go get one of the big limbs that has fallen from the willow trees and make a high roost for them and Mr LC.
