Exactly. She just launched herself from over 4’ into the dark. Horrifying!
I can bolt upright in bed really fast it seems! Though what I thought o could do way out there I don’t know.

But she wasn’t injured or anything- silly bird had to lay an egg I guess.

Has anyone used those ‘pinless peepers’ goggles they put on hens to stop pecking? I was wondering if they would stop the Roos from scrapping.
I've read pros and cons about peepers. Some found success -- others say they come off or get pulled off. Guess it depends on the flock?
