That is so wonderful. You are very talented! Is that crotchet or knitting? I sewed wedding dresses and did hoop embroidery but never learned the fine art of hooks or needles! Show more when you do handiwork!View attachment 3914430
Finished this wonderful snail today, it was really difficult. I hope it sells at the market tomorrow.
Prayers sent, my loveliesI could use some prayers sent Rosie's way please.
I got a call from the school this afternoon that a fight broke out and she was caught in the cross-hairs and needed to be picked up.
I get to the school and there is a ambulance there along with the sheriffs department. They are loading Rosie onto the ambulance. Principal, the sheriff and her teacher were trying to talk to me all at once and Rosie is in a meltdown. The teacher and myself rode with her to the hospital and the principal told me to come Monday and they would have all the information for me then. I got from the teacher that there was a pep-rally going on when a girl started hitting a boy who was sitting beside Rosie in the head with a Stanly cup. He tried to get away and she threw it and it bounced off his head and hit her in the mouth. She has 2 broken teeth, a busted lip and a concussion. I found out from a friend who came to the ER right after school that she did pass out for about 2 seconds but a group of people caught her before she hit the ground. Her mouth is hurting and she is super sensitive to heat and cold but the nerve is not exposed. She is on amoxicillin and pain meds until Monday when I can get her into the dentist for them to be capped. Rosie is also on a 3 minute loop. Every 3 minutes she starts asking the same questions over and over and over and does not remember exactly what happened. I did let the sheriff and principal know before I left I do want charges pressed.
No, not spoiled ~ LOVED!I hate to hear a grown up chicken cry! I was taking Coco inside and Dakota came to the door screaming her redheaded beak off.
So I let her in too. Spoiled brat she is!
That was some WALLOP your sweetie endured! Get well wishes and prayers to you, our friends!
Front tooth and bottom incisor or canine tooth are broken.
Garlic should be in sparse use for chickens. However onions are as toxic to chickens as it is to dogs and not even onion salt or onion powder should be used on chicken or dog treats.Garlic is good for chickens too
Good grief! I was off BYC for one Saturday and find out Rosie got clobbered horribly, precious In Albis has passed, and now Aurora! I'm so terribly sorry for you going thru this but you were doing your best for herGoodbye my friend.
Yesterday I found out Aurora had a really bad prolapse. I tried to shove it back in but she had pooped in her body cavity. There is about an inch of guts outside her cloaca. She does not seem to be lethargic but since she pooped inside I am sure it will get infected. Also it may happen again. I got her inside the barn because the wasps were tormenting her. Today she will be put down because I don't have the heart to let her go on suffering, because, even though I put honey on her vent to keep it from drying out, she went and scratched around in the wood shavings and got wood shavings all over her guts.
Goodbye Aurora, my only Easter Egger.![]()
