I had to do it. I pulled Xzit off the nest and brought her inside to eat and drink something. That way I can check her out thoroughly.

She’s healthy and lovable. Wanted to snuggle with me.
Dakota was at the back door pecking and yelling at me for my attention. So I traded birds. Now Dakota is in the house with me.
It’s like this…. I need them as much as they need me!

These 3 silkies add was refreshed this morning. I am still sorely tempted but I will refrain. Until I know for sure I do not have a boy I will not bring in another one. The little red one though, it is a little Ezzie made over.

What I'm curious about is why the little Red Silkie has a white face ~ the skin should be black or have black feathers around eyes ~ not white. They are little cuties but can't tell sex yet.

Lark is the low girl of my original 3. When I got chicks, she became "the mean girl." As someone explained, from Lark's point of view, finally, there is someone lower in rank than she!

She did it again when I got chicks last year too. She is still the "peckiest" of the elders. I tell her to stop being a meanie.

I have a "pecker" hen too ~ Ginny. A snot but we love her. No one but Suzu tolerates her & Ginny mostly toodles by herself or snoozes alone somewhere.
