She’s a mutt 😊 I have her, Whiskers and Buttercup who are her hatch mates. She does lay green/blue eggs and Whiskera also ( same colour). Buttercup is a splash and lays blue eggs.

I have offspring from these ladies -Mr P is their Dada - and they lay true blue eggs. My Azur Blue lay Robin Egg Blue
Eggs.
Your Misty is a jewel! I love Blue feather variety birds! So beautiful to have the space for so many lovely birds!

Oh, I wish they had other blue egg layer breeds back when we got our Ameraucanas. Like most every other new owner we wanted a colorful egg basket at first ~ you know, the white, brown, blue, chocolate, speckled, green, avocado, maroon egg colors so we started w/ Leghorns cuz we had them on the farm, a Marans, Silkies, & Ameraucana ~ bad mix for a small yard flock.

Had to rehome the Leghorns & Marans. Out of 3 Ameraucana pullets from different private breeders one Blue Ameraucana was about 4 months & arrived sick & we had to put her down at the vet, 2 Blue Wheaten juveniles from another breeder arrived w/one sick & died at one month, & the survivor only lived 3 yrs. Blue egg-laying Legbars weren't available or hard to find then. We got soured on any more blue egg layers after that.

What I really really loved was Blue variety birds whether Blue Cochin or Blue Ameraucana or Blue Breda or Blue Silkie, etc. I just loved Blue varieties. Our Blue Bredas were all lovely birds but low gene pool so they weren't hardy birds & died young.

After 13+ yrs we finally have a Blue Silkie!

She’s a beauty.

I am gobsmacked at the variety of colours and feathers of poultry. It’s really amazing.
