You should hear princess. She actually growled at me the other day. She isn't sure if she's a cat or a dog, she copies both speciesRosie has been a screaming monster lately, driving us crazy!View attachment 3934734
Sweet baby, getting old is the pits! She is so pretty.Hattie is over 6 years old and suffers greatly from arthritis. Every morning she gets meloxicam for the pain and then all the mealworms she wants. I don't care about nutrition, she is over 6 and not overweight. She deserves all the treats she wants.
As it gets colder she will need a dose at night as well. She is stationary without the meloxicam. She moves around some when on it.
No problem
Oh splendid! Yep that’s a great gig - I need one of those for the next 3 yrs !Working in a rig yard in Tulsa, my original scope was a 2 day job but I'm playing it by ear now. I don't mind. The guys here a great and I'm staying 10 minutes away in a nice hotel with a bar. They are not in a rush so that matches my speed perfectly, lol.
I’d call that a rose comb….
I have a couple of them - I had to yell at them to shut up this morning! Of course they just screamed louder.Rosie has been a screaming monster lately, driving us crazy!View attachment 3934734
One day I will do a video of all the noises they all make. It’s wild isn’t it?!You should hear princess. She actually growled at me the other day. She isn't sure if she's a cat or a dog, she copies both species![]()
Hey Greg - those two OEGB bantams I have are wonderful! I am so glad I bought them. And yes even little Mr LC himself, he is such a character!Working in a rig yard in Tulsa, my original scope was a 2 day job but I'm playing it by ear now. I don't mind. I did not get Poppet until she was supposedly 5 months old. I felt at the time she was too little to be that age and guessed her to be more along 3 1/2 to 4 months as she also still had the chick cheep. Well, she could have been closer to 5 months old now that I think about it. I have 6 of her offspring, 4 of them tiny. I will have to watch their growth rates. With these I know exactly when they hatched. Not enough gray/silver to be a true silver partridge but might be classified as a dark partridge. The breeder we got two Silkies from said one was a dark partridge & one was a silver partridge.
Dark Partridge -- starts w/very black feathers

We once considered attending poultry shows just to speak w/ some Silkie breeders to get more clarifications but the shows were further away than we cared to travel. Now I just rely on the NPIP breeder we purchase from for info since they like to study genetics.
