My mom used to sing Blue Moon. Thanks for the memory!
How about a Blue Chicken as tax? Stormy.

I'm sure I owe tax, so here is my little Pip, sitting on my lap today.

Most of the birds have started to molt. There are feathers in the run, in the coop, and floofing out into the air when they flap their wings.
Was it Pip who had lash egg? She is doing well?

Aster is getting grey (lavender?) dashes all over her. Look close in these photos. Up around her neck. These are from a few days ago. She even has a tail feather with some grey now.

Aster may be a mystery. Right now, at 8 weeks I would call her a orpington. She has the build of a American style orpington at this age. I want to know if the breeder who the orp eggs came from have a pen of Blue, black splash orps as well. I think you have a splash orpington instead of a lavender. Her legs look flesh colored, in the right lighting could get the pink tones orps are supposed to have. Head and comb look right on target for a orp pullet.
