Shiba-san is still being chased but one of the bantam roos is infatuated with her. She and Trickster would make a cute couple...

Mass of babies! Hubby is in love with the rusty red in the middles coloring. 20240906_191307.jpg
"You talking about me?"

Morinth is still a fully involved mama.

"This apple is good! You should make apple butter more often!"

Is that a dark partridge there in front?

The polish often wanders off to do it's own thing.

This morning I caught this cutie during the "run out the door" scramble. I try to catch one every day to look over, usually I don't have my phone for pics though.

Is it Owly? That it looks like so far? With the black collar and bright orange body?

Definitely a looker

For all concerned, hubby's surgery went well and he is doing fine! He's taking full advantage of the weight restriction and taking a couple weeks off of helping split and stack dads firewood. 😆

I leave you with a whole alleyway of chicks, they get along now for the most part.

Glad the surgery went well, and I love the coloring on all these beauties!

I weighed 4 of the idiots today and the 2 Brahmas and the Orpington were all 5.2 pounds which I find pretty cool. The other one, Prudy my Jersey Giant is a whopping 7 pounds at 22 weeks! And my other Jersey Giant looks just as big, maybe even a bit bigger. I think my dreams of having a 10 pound chicken may come to fruition!
