Cookie and Cream have taken Versace under their wings to train him. As well as the now oldest Legbar rooster. He has actually been teaching all the boys to be polite to the ladies, how to dance, and how to show them where food is.
How wonderful ❤️

Mugs Monday.
It's not Monday. It is Wednesday.

Hi FBA! It’s Pastel the Rooster. I’ve missed you all so much. I wish I could still be on there to talk to you guys. Thank you Notabitail for posting this for me!
I hope everything is going well with your lives. There’s been some changes to my life.
First, Auggie the Welsh pony is doing very well. I’m going to start doing barrels with him. Dad actually is letting me! I think it will be fun, as Auggie knows the pattern and loves it.
Pippa the Shetland that I rode for 6 years passed away due to colic. She passed back in July. It sucked.

I am doing very well in school! I have a 100, a 99, an 89, and a 96! We are already 10 weeks in, so I think I am going to get all A’s this semester hopefully! Of course, I don’t have math until next semester 😒.

Pastel (not me, the actual rooster) passed away. He got too aggressive so I took him to my mom’s work. We put him in with pigs, but he jumped the fence to frolic with broiler roos and was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I brought home another rooster, but he was attacking Bolt, so he had to go. He’s at my best friend’s house now.
I brought home a lavender Orpington hen a few months back. She is very sweet. Her name is Amethyst!
Splotch, BBQ, and Bolt are officially 3! Bolt and BBQ turned three on the 8th of Oct, and Splotch turned three on the 14th of Sept.

Willow went broody again over the summer and got 7 more chicks. Silver Laced Wyandottes! One is a rooster, but the rest are hens. She did such a great job taking care of them. I got them because TSC was about to destroy them because they were two weeks old. Willow didn’t care and she took them in. They don’t have names yet.

Pegasus, Pastel’s son (with Bolt) is so big! He is still dark blue, but he has bronze hackle feathers, and a few bronze saddle/shoulder feathers. He is nice so far.

The Polish are doing well! They started laying eggs! Aphrodite (exchequer leghorn) is doing very well! She is more docile than I thought, though she is flighty. Her eggs are so cute!
Nyx passed away in June. Of course, it had to be the favorite polish. She broke her neck while flying to a perch I think.
Athens is such a sweet rooster. He is my second favorite chook (Bolt first!) Nemesis has an attitude sometimes. But I don’t let him get away with it. He doesn’t attack me very often anymore.

Guineas are doing well. Ridges (the favorite Guinea) passed away in June too. She got coccidiosis again. I took her and her special needs son, Ditzy, who also had it, to the vet. Ditz got better but Ridges passed away.
I have six guineas now.

I think I have 26 chooks now though!

Anyways, I miss you all so much! I hope everyone is doing amazing! Thank you all for the kindness you showed me while I was on BYC. ❤️
@Ponypoor and @RebeccaBoyd, if you have any good barrel saddle brands in mind, could you please share it with Notabitail! Thank you and I hope all the chooks and horses are doing well!

So sorry about Pastel and Pippa. :hugsAmethyst sounds lovely! Lavender Orpingtons are one of my personal favorite color Orpingtons, though I love them all. Auggie looks beautiful! It's great to hear that you're having fun with him, and he looks very happy. I love the Dakota roper I rode in before Max and I went bareback and brideless, and having ridden in a Dakota barrel, I can say that they are good quality, sturdy saddles. You can also find them used very easily and cheaper. Hope everything continues going well!

So sad about Pastel the Rooster's pony loss & chicken/guinea losses. So much change in such a short time & w/all that going on to still maintain excellent grades ~ YAY! The chicken & guinea pics are very much appreciated. Loved all the chicken varieties Pastel has & more Auggie pics plz!
