And were is he? Up on the big girls’ ledge with the other four chicklets all snuggled together.

Poor wee Georgie, but not to worry, I will soon sort this out. Clyde and Georgie on the ledge; and the four chicklets (plus Daisy) in Hen House B.

Nightie night everyone!

I've watched Murder She Wrote, Poirot, Miss Marple, & currently binge-watching Father Brown cuz chickens are involved in many episodes. Are Mallorca Files similar?
I don’t get a chance to watch the TV . The only show that gets watched in my house is Animal Planet. They hide the remote from me. 🐓 :idunno

I heard the sonic boom from when the Starliner landed in White Sands. Super cool.
The Pasadena Rose Parade Stealth Bomber's flight path goes over us every New Years Day. A few years ago they used to fly 3 Stealths but I suppose there were too many boom complaints from residents so they are down to just one fly over. Very impressive.

No noises seem to bother our hens, not even 4th of July rockets or firecrackers! But as I shared before, the girls are very suspicious of a floating party balloon overhead!!!

Oh, I've watched plenty of Animal Planet's & conservation programs. Sir David Attenborough & I are old program buddies! I've also played Silkie youtube videos for our girls to watch! Since breaking my arm I've got wayyyy too much time on my hands to waste!

Mallorca files is set on the island of Mallorca (off the coast of Spain), it’s about a British detective who gets transplanted there who solves crimes.

Another you may enjoy is My Life is Murder (New Zealand/Australia TV), another detective show about a retired detective who freelances for the police.

Have you seen Death in Paradise? Also a BBC show set in the Caribbean. And Sister Boniface (spin off from Father Brown), oh and Miss Scarlet and the Duke (BBC).

And Murdock Mysteries (Canadian, 20 seasons I think, I have missed the last couple seasons) - it’s set in around 1903-ish Toronto - it’s really interesting to see how policing was back then - they do a good job of trying to be factual. And it’s fun to spot the old museums here in my home town they use for the stories sometimes 😊 and no shortage of old barns and homes from turn of the century 1900s around here to shoot scenes. I love when they do scenes in the old hospitals - some I have worked in and know the creaky old back staircases 😉

Over the past few years I have been watching these on and off.

Today I spent a lot of a time watching shows (watched a couple episodes of Mallorca files and a couple re-runs of Death in Paradise), my shoulder and neck are just aching. I am beginning to think it’s just my neck arthritis which has been acting up past week or so, maybe a pinched nerve in my neck causing my shoulder pain.

@Sylvester017 you are correct - don’t get old! Hahaha! And stay off crazy horses.

I still haven’t made it to the barn, but I just checked Hen House B and looks like only 4 chooks on that big ledge space! Boy are they going to be mad when I start moving youngsters in and taking over their space 🤭

You need to hide in the feedroom/office in the barn like I do.

Oh that’s where I get the tapping at the door from the chooks hahaha, and if I don’t close the door I have everyone sleeping in there keeping me company!

I had a hawk visit today and sat in the tree for about 10 min, then flew away - wow did the chooks kick up a huge fuss! Good chook-chooks. I went and rescued poor Patches who was literally frozen in one spot under the tree. The hawk flew off at that point. I don’t think it could take the bigger chooks, but those youngest chicks are still small.

Then the Blue Jays had fun buzzing over top of them all day hahaha. They would fly low over the chooks causing them to run like crazy, then the blue jays would sit in the trees cackling 😁 I swear they did that on purpose.
