Doesn’t the paving make it very hot?

Light colored paving stones shouldn't get too hot, they'll reflect more light and heat whereas dark paving stones would absorb it.

Our driveway is light concrete so it gets warm in the sun (especially in summer) but it doesn't get hot

My dog is much worse. I've called a vet and it's time for him to sleep.
Plus there's news on princess. I'll fill you all in when I can . But dealing with a huge amount of problems right now.

Oh I know about Bradford Pear. Yes nasty. But they do have beautiful flowers in spring.

The Bedford Pear is planted here somewhat. I have not seen it on my area though, so it might be less cold tolerant.

So very sorry Marie. I’m sad for myself too. My bi annual physical is next week and I doubt that I can get past the FAA regulations until my health improves.
I feel so sad for your dog. A beloved pet is so hard to let go of.

I didn’t mean the temperature of the pavers themselves but of the surrounding area. Plants play a cooling role - they are natural evaporative coolers.
