Last year (I think it was) we had the ‘how to photograph for the sheen’ discussion, we learnt that overcast and low light offers the best conditions for photographing the sheen.

It's funny how some birds either love or hate a food. If it's in our hand the birds fall all over each other to eat ~ put the same food immediately in a dish they walk away!

Some food lists say not to feed peanuts to chickens. DH once got wild bird seed mix w/ chopped peanuts that we put into treat toys ~ no chicken but Dana ate ALL the peanuts. We figured some peanuts wouldn't hurt but she was throwing everything away except peanuts!

Sadly I recently rehomed my flock of 5 Isa Browns and one Smokey Pearl. I had two fatal raccoon attacks within one week, we had travel plans and I could not leave someone else with that kind of horror show, you know? I will however show you a pic or two!

Anyone super hyped for the Detroit Lions again this year? The game last night had me on the edge of my seat... Especially those last 5-10 mimutes! Heart racing, stomach clenching, sweating...

I'm not really into football but the Lions got me interested last year and now I find myself really excited when they play! What a turnaround from the last few decades!

Anyways... Some tax. Monday mugs! Well, kind of. They're busy eating up some oatmeal so it was hard to get pictures of their faces
