I’m starting to think that Rudy is getting too big for snuggles. :idunno IMG_4851.jpeg

tonight she was wanting to roost with her sisters in the Hen House. I told her no way kiddo, she is back in the crate. That’s her in the middle, Topsy to the left, Twister to the right - stuck in the middle again…

I received no blue egg blessing today. :idunno
Our Blue egger & our Chocolate egger were never consecutive layers maybe 2x week ~ but the eggs were L/XL.

The White Leghorn however layed L/XL eggs sometimes 8 days in a row as a pullet & that was alarming to me. The Buff Leghorn layed Lg tinted eggs 2-3x week ~ the breeder was trying to perfect the breed to lay all white eggs but I suspect using a Buff crossbreed to get a Buff Leghorn passed on the brown egg gene so don't known if it was ever corrected. I never got any more Legs after them.

Meanwhile DH cooks me up a Silkie over-easy egg on a pkg'd waffle for breakfast most mornings. There's always 1 or 2 broody Silkies at the same time there's 1 or 2 laying Silkies every day.

This morning's Silkie single box pileup ~ Suzu, Keiko, & Mika or maybe one is Betta, who knows?
